Cycling is welcomed and encouraged at the
University of Arkansas, and all bicycle parking is
free with racks located conveniently throughout
campus. The League of American Bicycles lists
the U of A as a Bicycle Friendly University and
25 different Fayetteville organizations as being
Bicycle Friendly Businesses, the sixth most in
the United States. Students can also get around
by hopping on one of the numerous e-scooters
located on campus. Students can rent e-scooters
simply by downloading an app on their phone.
Northwest Arkansas is known for biking, with
Fayetteville offering more than 20 miles of
mountain bike trails of varying difficulty and
more than 40 miles of paved trails, including the
Frisco and Scull Creek Trails, which are located
steps away from campus. The Razorback Regional
Greenway is a 37.5-mile trail that extends from
Fayetteville to the city of Bella Vista.
